Doctoral degree program: will consist of 84 credits.
Those who earned their Master degree from AIT: 84 credits.
They are required to take a minimum of 18 credits. >From this 18 credits, up to a maximum of 6 credits can be from special studies. Thus, a student who graduated from AIT can have 12 credits from regular courses + 6 credits from Special Studies or 15 credits from regular courses + 3 credits from Special study, etc.
The formula is: x + y = 18, where x = number of credits from regular courses, and y = number of credits from special studies where y can be 0.
Those who earned their Master degree from other university: 84 + special study credits
They are required to take a minimum of 18 credits. This 18 credits should be from regular courses (not including credits from special studies). If they wish to take special studies, the credits will be additional to the 18 credits required. The scenarios can be like these: 1) 18 credits of coursework (no special studies; 2) 18 credits of coursework + 3 credits of special study = 21 credits gained, 18 credit of coursework + 6 credits of Special studies = 24 credits gained, etc.
The formula should then be: 18 + y = z, where y = number of credits from special studies (y can be 0), and z = total number of credits gained.
